Madhya Pradesh is the state in central India. It is often called the Heart of India. Its capital is Bhopal. The famous cities in the state are Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior etc. Indian Institute of Technology Indore, Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal, Indian Institute of Management Indore are the prestigious educational institute in the state.
Madhya Pradesh is famous for its temples, historical heritage etc. Some of them are Sanchi stupa in Sanchi, Khajuraho temple etc. Gwalior is famous for its forts and numerous temples, with the Gwalior fort being the most visited by tourists. Indore is one of the fastest developing cities in India. It has huge shopping malls, industrial establishments and a lot of monuments worth sightseeing. The town of Chitrakoot is famous for its historical monuments and architectural marvels. There are a lot of ayurvedic and yoga centres nearby, which brings in tourist for some peace and meditation. Madhya Pradesh is home to 9 National Parks, including Bandhavgarh National Park, Kanha National Park, Satpura National Park, Sanjay National Park, Madhav National Park, Van Vihar National Park, Mandla Plant Fossils National Park, Panna National Park, and Pench National Park.
